SITZ

Sitit is an academic event where participants sit at long tables in a pre-arranged seating order, eat, drink, and sing various drinking songs in good company. These student life staples are a fun way to meet new people and catch up with old acquaintances. During sitsit, there are also occasional short speeches, and especially at NESU-sitsit, pre-planned special performances are part of the program.

 

In Kuopio, the organization of sitsit is overseen by Preemio ry's NESU and sits officer for 2024, Beata Karlstedt, in collaboration with the NESU team.

 

Throughout the year, two NESU-sits and interdisciplinary sits are organized. In addition, there are freshmen sits and Wappu sits, which serve as the starting point for the best week of the year.
