Kuopio's largest and most exciting pub crawl, Lentävä Lähtö, takes over Kuopio's market square in the fall and spring. Originally started as a joke among friends and a gift of a racing outfit given for a anniversary celebration, the pub crawl now hosts nearly 2000 students around the city of Kuopio, introducing each participant to the art of pub crawling.

 

Lentävä Lähtö has become a staple in Kuopio's student culture and is annually one of the favorite events for many student organizations, acting as both the spring kickoff before Vappu and a highlight during the freshman week program in the fall. The event is topped off with after-parties at two different venues, where amazing artists ensure the pub crawl crowd has a great time into the early morning hours.
